Newlyn harbour is the home port to fishing vessels of a variety of types and, despite the economic difficulties suffered by this industry over recent years, still numbers around 150 boats of all sizes ranging from deep sea trawlers to smaller open boats. |

The RNLI Lifeboat
The RNLI's new Arun Class lifeboat Mabel Alice is normally moored in Newlyn Harbour from where rapid access to the open sea is always available to ensure the speediest response to any emergency at sea. The lifeboat can be seen at anchor alongside the Mary Williams pier. |
