At 16 years of age, most pupils transfer to Penwith College/Tertiary - located in Penzance - which caters for approximately 1000 full-time students who study some 30 A-level subjects as well as NVQ and GNVQs and provides a wide programme of adult part-time courses throughout the Penzance and the wider Penwith area. Last year, 16 students progressed to Exeter University with which strong links have been enjoyed for many years. There is also a regular flow of students to Oxford and Cambridge each year. The College also frequently achieves regional and sometimes national honours in a range of sports.

The Bolitho School in Penzance is a small, independent day and boarding school which offers the internationally prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB).
